Piermont, New York is a village located within Rockland County and in the town of Orangetown. The setting for the movie, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Piermont is also home to the Erie Railroad Pier and is known for its hand-cranked drawbridge, the Sparkill Creek Drawbridge.
