Mount Pleasant is located 30 miles north of New York City and is a placid retreat away from the Big Apple. The 2016 census listed a total of 44,556 residents, and these are comprised of 13,737 households with 10,522 families. The average square mile contains 1,560 people with 505 houses in that same area. The median income is $103,657 for a household and $129,077 for a family. Just 4.9% of the area’s population lives under the poverty line.

Mount Pleasant enjoys a laid-back real estate market with between 40-50 homes on the market at any given time. The average home price is $753,000, with the lower end selling for $240,000 and the upper end pulling in about $2.5 million with some exceptions. Average days listed is 220, and the average real estate taxes are $32,000 per annum.
