Airmont is located within the town of Ramapo in Rockland County, and its southern border is shared with the state of New Jersey. Particularly known for its bucolic charm, the area boasts an aesthetic appeal famously said to be like that of Better Homes and Gardens.

The area has a number of parks and manmade attractions for recreation that residents can delight in and enjoy, and there are also a number of denizen-led organizations that exist for the purpose of bettering the village.

Demographics

Airmont has a total of 7,799 people that are living in 2,342 households. 2,032 families in this area and are dispersed at a rate of 1701 people per each square mile, on average. 2,362 housing units are situated at an average of 515 per each square mile.
