Tarrytown is a village that is situated on the eastern bank of the Hudson River and that is connected to South Nyack by the Tappan Zee Bridge. It is famously included in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow as the starting point for the story, and literature afficionados can visit the home, called Sunnyside, where Irving lived. The Underground Railroad also ran through the area during the Civil War, and it was also home to John D. Rockefeller.
Commuters can reach Manhattan in just 40 minutes via train, accessing the vast array of jobs in industry, tech, and communications.
